The following terms and conditions apply to your registration for, admission to, and continued attendance at the 4th Australia and New Zealand Refugee Trauma Recovery in Resettlement Conference ('The Conference'), and to any of your accompanying guests:
Venue Terms and Conditions
You must at all times comply with the terms and conditions of entry to each venue connected with The Conference, and with any lawful directions given by its authorised personnel.
Travel and Accommodation
Expenses for and arrangements you may make for travel and accommodation are at your sole risk and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable to you for those expenses in any circumstances. We recommend that you consider making accommodation and transport arrangements that permit variation or cancellation with appropriate refunds. We further recommend that you obtain insurance (if available) that will reimburse you accommodation and transport costs in the event of cancellation.
Cancellation or Ticket Transfer
You may request a full refund of your registration, excluding any transaction fees, up to 30 days prior to the event. No refunds will be made for cancellations after this time, including no-shows.
You may transfer your registration to another person, provided you notify us at least 21 days prior to the event in the case where there are changes to dietary requirements, or 7 days prior to the event in all other cases. Please provide us with the new delegate's name, email address, and dietary requirements.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule The Conference due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, etc.). In such cases, we will provide full refunds or transfers to the next available date.
Data Processing
For this event, your personal data will be viewed and processed by STARTTS, EventsAir and the ICC Sydney. As attendees of The Conference, your personal data will be retained indefinitely for purposes of communication for future conferences. By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, you give consent for your data to be collected and processed by EventsAir on behalf of FASSTT.
Allergies and Dietary Restrictions
The Conference organisers will not be liable for reactions arising from a delegates failure to disclose their dietary needs with sufficient notice (at least 3 weeks prior to The Conference). While we take steps to minimise risk and safely handle the foods that contain potential allergens, please be advised that cross contamination may occur as factors beyond our reasonable control. We will make every effort to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those individuals with food allergies however cannot guarantee completely allergy-free meals due to the potential of trace allergens in the working environment and supplied ingredients.
If you have a severe allergy, you are responsible for taking all necessary precautions to ensure your wellbeing, including but not limited to providing your own EpiPen, bringing your own meals, and ensuring organisers of The Conference are aware of the severity of your condition.
Photography and Videography/Filming
You may use handheld cameras and/or smart phones at The Conference to take photographs and videos/films for personal, non-commercial use, provided the act of so doing is not disruptive, intrusive or in breach of intellectual property or privacy rights and provided that the subject of such photography and videography/filming consents. Such photographs and videos/films may not be published, sold, reproduced, transmitted, distributed or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner whatsoever.
We may hire service providers (photo/video/streaming/audio) to document and display The Conference experience. We may also use social media to post photos and videos and to display select submissions at the venue and on our websites. You irrevocably authorise us to:

We may, without liability to you or any guests, eject you (and/or a guest) from The Conference and/or refuse entry to The Conference or any part of The Conference if we, acting reasonably, consider that you or a guest are/is in breach of these terms and conditions, or for any other reasonable cause.
